Senior Tax Associate
PacifiCorp is one of the lowest-cost electricity producers in the United States, providing more than 1.6 million customers with reliable, efficient energy.General Purpose This position will be primarily responsible for assisting with the Company’s obligations with respect to financial reporting of income taxes. Responsibilities for this position include the following: Calculation corporate income tax accrual on a US GAAP and FERC basis. Calculation of income taxes for budget and forecasts. Income tax general ledger account reconciliation. Support the presentation and disclosure of income taxes in SEC and FERC financial reports. Research and advise on the Company’s financial reporting positions for income taxes. Apply critical thinking and analysis to interpretation of key financial reporting metrics, including effective tax rates and variance analysis. Oversight and review of work product from junior personnelRequirements for this position include the following: Bachelor’s Degree in Finance or Accounting Working knowledge of FAS 109 and FIN 48. 5 years experience in industry. Proficient with the use of spreadsheet, word processing, and presentation applications. Communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to consult with internal and external customers regarding matters/issues which may be sensitive in nature. Strong project management skills and the ability to present alternatives and recommendations. Preferences: Certified Public Accountant (CPA). Big Four Accounting Experience.All offers of employment are contingent upon the successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
