It all starts here, with you.This role conducts major spend analysis by supplier, commodity or service; identifies potential suppliers; and develops and issues requests for proposal with complex pricing tables. Analyzes Information Technology ("IT") supplier proposals and performs legal, license and insurance reviews and net present value analysis. Negotiates prices, delivery, insurance, performance, penalties, issue resolution, escalation and terms/conditions. Identifies and obtains cost improvements for purchased materials and services from supplier through negotiation and continuous management. May lead cross-functional IT sourcing initiatives, including the development and implementation of complex sourcing strategies. Develops and administers measurement tools on contract basis. Performs trend analysis and identifies and implements process improvements. Analyzes all cost and process aspects of assigned spend. Perform other duties as requested or assigned.QualificationsMeaningful experience in Information Technology acquisitions for computer hardware, software licenses, and telecommunications equipment. In depth experience with the licensing of complex software products like Oracle, SAP, Computer Associates or the acquisition of mainframe/high-end server computers or telecommunications equipment and the possible leasing of the same.4 + years related experience.Working knowledge of procurement practices, particularly IT Industry practices, procedures and policies.Working knowledge of business and contract law.Working knowledge of accounting principles.Working knowledge of company systems, processes and/or interfaces.Operational knowledge of supplier relations, priority management and tactical planning.Skills: excellent verbal/writing/presentation; demonstrated effective influence, persuasion and negotiation; analytical; work management; effective human relations; project management; computer proficiency; forecasting and trend analysis; value/cost analysis.Abilities: apply analytical abilities to diverse issues; manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines; apply acquired knowledge and skills; use sound business judgment; anticipate, understand and respond to customer needs. This position will concentrate in the support of Information Technology and/or Telecommunications acquisitions.
