POSITION DESCRIPTION: Performs as a fully skilled and experienced Power Services Technician able to perform specialized installation or diagnosis and repair on all types of electrical systems. Provides highly skilled expertise and work direction in commissioning, fault diagnosis, testing, repairing, preventive maintenance and routine maintenance on Aramco Power Distribution Department's transformers, large circuit breakers and ancillary equipment for substations, switching stations, power plants and large motor controls. Frequently provides word direction to lower classified Power Services Unit personnel.SELECTION CRITERIA: Ability to operate and interpret results of Power factor tests, Circuit Breaker Timing Tester, Transformer Resistance Tester and Transformer Turn Ratio Tester (T.T.R.). Moreover, the ability to perform Commissioning, Preventive Maintenance, Troubleshooting and Repair for any high voltage electrical equipment including Switchgears, Power Transformer, Air, Vacuum or Gas circuit breakers and Gas Switches. Good knowledge and experience of computer application programs. Power Service Technicians should have high degree of expertise in commissioning/Installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high & medium voltage Transformers with OLTC, Circuit Breakers (Air, Vacuum, and SF6), Switchgears, motor, Starters and Disconnect Switches/Circuit Switchers. Must fluent in English and knowledge of International Standards (IEEE, IEC and NEC) also able to use test equipments but not limited to Megger, TTR, DLRO, Earth Resistance Tester and Power Factor Insulation Analyzer (Doble). 4-5 years experience with Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering /6-8 years experience with Diploma of Associate Engineer in Electrical/Power Technology. Experience required: 11 years. Completion of ITC: English, ERW Math. Receive Hot & Cold work permits. Perform CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation). 11 years of experience in power system construction, commissioning, maintenance and operation with emphasis on transmission & distribution of medium to high voltage. Fluent command of the English language plus ability to operate and interpret results of any kind of testing equipment such as Wheatstone bridge, oscilloscopes, meters, meggers, high pot testers. Incumbent must have applicable knowledge of U.S & Saudi Electrical Codes.COMMENTS: Power Distribution Department's mission is to manage the electrical power system of all Saudi Aramco facilities under PDD area of responsibility in a safe, reliable and cost effective manner, exceeding customer's expectations.
