Senior Manager Payroll Tax  Cincinnati OH  - Relocation Available The Senior Payroll Tax Manager is responsible for: The delivery of payroll tax services to all NA Payroll clients. Relationship with key partners SAGE and CIC Plus who provide tax filing/deposits and electronic W-2 reporting respectively. Support pre-sale activity and new client implementation activity as required. Staff hiring, mentoring, career development and performance management activities. Principal Duties for Senior Payroll Tax Manager: Lead team in building meaningful individual goals that meet department goals and ensure individual growth. Build succession plan in team. Ensure timely feedback is given including formal mid-year reviews that are well documented. Ensure team members have realistic training plans and project opportunities to continue growth. Utilize company programs to recognize efforts of individuals/team. Work within established budget to target external training/APA seminar participation. Build APA certifications throughout team in phased in approach. Ensure staff participation in local APA chapter meetings and various other tax related organizations. Develop internal consulting capability within Tax Center of Excellence team. Conduct training classes (including building all content) for Operations Payroll teams supporting all clients to also include existing client teams with no current payroll service delivery responsibilities. Develop and deliver demos of SAGE and CIC Plus service offerings on all future Payroll pre-sale opportunities. Support pre-sale pricing activities as it relates to Tax COE scope of business. Should be able to learn, understand full EC Payroll service delivery model and be able to discuss/present in pre-sales environment. Assist Director in department budget activities (forecast as well as actual results) Responsible for managing relationship with Tax COE vendors such as SAGE and CIC Plus. Ensure they are meeting or exceeding our client requirements. Participate in Advisory Board activities with partner vendors. Review all invoice/billings from partner vendors for accuracy and proper internal charging to client programs. Provide day to day support of staff as needed. Ensure positive and successful partnership with all internal payroll operations teams. Create/promote atmosphere of continuous improvement. Create/promote sharing of best practices. Support/champion Six Sigma/Continuous Improvement as on-going focus within entire Tax COE team. Proactively partner with Peer Managers in other Payroll COE’s. Maintain positive working relationships with IT and other internal support areas. Engage with Director in areas that might require outside legal or tax guidance to ensure compliance. Support all audit requirements (SOX, compliance, etc.) Ensure 100% compliance with all regulatory filings/requirements for all client accounts. Support globalization efforts as required. Support future client implementation activities. Required Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business from an accredited college or university. Required Experience: Five or more years of Payroll experience including Supervisory or Management experience. Previous experience in a multi-state tax environment preferably with a payroll size of 5,000 employees or larger. Prefer experience with SAP, PeopleSoft or ADP payroll platforms. Working knowledge of US federal and state tax laws and familiarity with expatriate processing desired. Must have excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent people skills including client/vendor management experience. Prefer prior implementation experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office products to include Word, Excel, Lotus Notes Able to balance conflicting demands and prioritize accordingly Excellent Compensation/Benefits Package commensurate to experience!
