Exelon is currently looking for a Senior Emergency Preparedness Specialist at are nuclear corporate office located in Warrenville, IL. PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION Provides fleet wide leadership and management of Emergency Preparedness (EP) functions, programs and processes in their functional area. Performs advanced program development, maintenance, and planning in support of the Emergency Preparedness Program. Is responsible for technical-decision making and problem solving related to emergency preparedness and response. Possess excellent knowledge in functional discipline and its practical application and has detailed knowledge of applicable industry standards and regulations. PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES Provides leadership and in-depth technical expertise to develop, manage and implement emergency preparedness activities and programs. Support EP Administration and Maintenance activities through coordination of EP activities, coordination and support of EP self-assessments/audits/inspections, maintenance of the E-Plan/station annexes/EP procedures/equipment, off-site interfaces, EP training and other associated activities. Provides leadership and technical expertise and consultation through direct involvement to identify and resolve emergency response program issues. Support the drill and exercise program through support of scheduling, scenario development, evaluation, report generation and disposition of findings. POSITION SPECIFICATIONS Minimum Requirements: Bachelor degree or professional certification Five years experience in Nuclear Power or Emergency Preparedness POSITION SCOPE Possesses specialty skills and performs advanced tasks independent with minimal supervisory review. Performs tasks independently and actively imparts knowledge and mentoring to others. Must be able to manage and implement emergency preparedness programs across the fleet and has wide latitude to make decisions within accountabilities.
