                              SENIOR BUYER
Â
Procures requisitioned materials and supplies with consideration to quality standards, customer specifications, delivery dates, production schedule and price. Keeps abreast of production requirements, expedites delivery, advises internal departments of delayed receipt and cost discrepancies. Maintains effective relationship with vendors, evaluating their performance and investigating new suppliers when needed. Monitors and recommends reorder points. A.S., B.A. or CPIM equivalent with 3 to 5 years experience preferred. Strong negotiating, organizational, interpersonal and communication skills. Computer efficiency required. Experience in manufacturing a plus. Experience in metallurgy or casting buying desirable.
