SPI is currently a sales partner of TXU Energy performing commercial energy sales in the State of Texas. We are rapidly growing in our 2nd year with TXU Energy and due to this success we are expanding our teams with new positions and opportunities in the company. New sales executives will have the opportunity to earn team leader or manager positions within their first year!
About the Position:
This is a great opportunity to build, lead and manage a sales team selling deregulated energy to businesses throughout the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. You'll be working with one of the largest and most respected electricity companies in the world in TXU Energy, a $9 Billion dollar Fortune 500 company, and one of the two major incumbent power companies in Texas. The Sales Manager will be responsible for leading and managing a team of 10-12 outside sales representatives. They will be conducting door-to-door business-to-business cold call sales in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metro area. The Sales Manager will report directly to the Sales Director of the DFW office. You will be expected to coach, manage, and develop the field sales reps to meet or exceed performance expectations. The candidate should be comfortable and adept in managing solution sales environments. A strong ability to creatively and efficiently contribute to and strengthen sales systems is desired, especially with a view toward adapting those systems to a rapidly growing and expanding independent de-regulated energy sales industry.
The Sales Manager will receive significant logistics, marketing, training, human resources, recruiting, and administrative support. Logistics support ranges from state of the art sales tracking and training tools to appropriate office support environments. Consequently, the goal of this position is to allow the Sales Manager to spend a majority of the time in the field, thereby focusing on leading and managing the field sales representatives to be as successful as possible and the best in the industry.
Job Requirements:
Requires a minimum of 3 years of recent sales management experience in outside cold call sales to the SMB market. . Experience in helping to hire, train, manage, and develop sales reps in a highly supported environment. The position will require adaptability and ability to adjust to a rapidly growing/changing work environment. A successful sales history prior to management responsibilities is also preferred. A four-year degree is a big plus and preference will be given to those candidates whose area of study was in business, marketing, communications, or psychology. Experience using a Blackberry or similar hand-held device to document and manage sales activities is a huge plus. Additionally, required business computing skills include use of E-mail services, MS Office Suite, business productivity software, and experience with web-based customer relationship management software such as SalesForce, SalesLogic, Siebel, ACT, or Goldmine. Excellent communication and writing skills are needed.
