Our client, AppliedSensor, develops and manufactures state of the art gas sensors for, air quality, HVAC, safety and control. Using these highly engineered modules, they are able to customize their solutions to meet their client’s specific needs across many different industries.  AppliedSensor is seeking a seasoned technical sales engineer in North America to build and develop client platform and manage existing key accounts.  This individual will understand the application of air quality sensor products for the automotive, building technology, appliances and industrial/environmental markets.

 

In this highly visible position, you will report directly to the Head of Sales and work closely with AppliedSensor’s international sales teams to identify potential customers, understand the client’s business requirements, develop solutions, and drive new sales in the U.S.and regions in Asia.

 

Your challenge is to grow AppliedSensor’s business by introducing their portfolio of products into new market segments and identifying new business opportunities. You will be tasked with ensuring that AppliedSensor is positioned for long term growth by helping to build an organization that is competitive in North America.  You will be instrumental in responding to proposals from specific customers and industries, developing customer requirements, defining solutions, and winning new business.

 

The right individual will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a technical discipline, plus 5 years of technical sales experience.  You will have a proven track record in sales, account management and possess an entrepreneurial spirit.  You will have experience working in an international environment and are familiar with cultural differences from a business point of view. German or Swedish language ability is a plus. This role requires a self starter with the ability to travel domestically/internationally.
