Staff Industrial Hygienist (IH) Key Accountabilities & Skills:

 

Industrial Hygiene Programs: Interpret, implement and communicate occupational health codes and standards in a workplace environment (Federal, OSHA, State and Industrial Standards) Comment on proposed safety & health regulations and participate in regulatory proceedings Demonstrated skills in the application of personal protective equipment, industrial hygiene monitoring and sampling, risk assessment and mitigation of workplace safety, health and environmental issues 

Corporate Health Programs:Ability to review and manage occupational health programs Serve as corporate subject matter expert for ergonomics related to muscular skeletal disorders and mitigation  Monitor and provide health and medical consultation on pandemic risks and controls Provide IH guidance to business continuity team

Corporate Safety and Environmental Compliance Audit Program: Manage audit program for multiple sites across the Entergy service area Familiar with safety compliance requirements and multi-media environmental regulations Demonstrated project management, team-building, and leadership skills

Qualifications:

Bachelor degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Hygiene, Public Health or other physical science. Minimum 10 years experience. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills (including MS Word, Excel and Power Point. Industrial Hygienist Certification is preferred. 35-60% travel to lead audits.
