SUPERVISOR - Commercial & Industrial Collections

Look no further..The Commercial and Industrial Collections unit of our Credit and Collections Department is seeking a Supervisor to report to the Manager of Commercial and Industrial Collections. The appropriate candidate for this opportunity will be responsible for: Monitoring and executing of the Tactical Plan for collection of the high risk commercial and industrial collection portfolio through outbound calling campaigns and other collection actions needed for account resolution of arrears. Portfolios include New York (upstate and downstate) and New England (Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island). Supervising a team of management and bargaining employees to perform functions within the high risk commercial and industrial collections portfolios while fostering self-motivated and empowered employees. Assigning and monitoring daily work as it relates to the collection of high risk accounts. Communicating and coordinating with Account Managers to facilitate collections on strategic managed accounts. Becoming knowledgeable on the rules and regulations specific to commercial and industrial accounts in New York, Massachusetts, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. Providing high level and in-depth analysis as required. Develop, recommend and provide work practice improvements that improve efficiency, add value and enhance customer service. Communicate objectives and results clearly and effectively within the team, to business partners and to management.Successful performance of the Supervisor position calls for the following qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Finance or relevant field of study with a minimum 5 years relevant qualifying experience. Previous supervisory experience is required. Prior experience in collections, customer service, consumer relations, billing and/or regulatory affairs is a plus. Strong analytical skills and proficiency in the use of customer and financial systems. Problem solving abilities to work collaboratively with others to resolve complex collection issues. Must possess well developed interpersonal and proven leadership skills and the ability to work independently and within team environment and to interact effectively through written and verbal means positively affecting change.
