STRUCTURAL DESIGNER - PRINCIPAL / CIVIL ENGINEER- Petrochemical / Refining / Oil & Gas

AutoCAD Drafting and design of equipment foundation, paving, drainage and roads for petrochemical refineries and industrial plants including periodic site inspections - Located in Monrovia, CA, 91016 (Los Angeles area Southern California) The Job: Generally, using 3D CAD modeling, preparing 2D CAD drawings and drafting, checking of process structures and modules, responsible for process and electrical equipment foundations, paving, drainage, and roads for petrochemical plants Complete highly technical and difficult design assignments in a structural discipline Coordinates with other disciplines to develop design deliverables  Performs material take-off as directed by Lead Engineer and Lead Designer  Travels to project sites required for walk downs during design phaseQualifications: Proficiency in 2D or 3D CAD Technical skills gained from education, training, and experience over many years enables this level of designer to work independently and complete demanding assignments Minimum Ten (10) years experience in civil and structural drafting and design of petrochemical, refineries and industrial plants 5 years experience and extensive knowledge of MicroStation, ModelDraft and/or Frameworks plus CAD AA - Associates degree, a certificate of completion from and accredited designer/drafting course (or 6 to 10 years of related experience which includes  2 years college course work) in an related area required Experience in applying advanced and CAD techniques with knowledge of codes, standards, and construction methods in structural design Must be a U.S. Citizen or authorized to work in the USA without sponsorship.  TN Visas are acceptable.
