SQL DBA

SAIC currently has an opening for an SQL DBA in Little Rock, AR. This candidate will perform the duties of a SQL Server DBA, and will be responsible for maintenance, monitoring, performance analysis, trouble shooting and issue resolution in a 2000/05 environment. In addition, this position will coordinate routine server maintenance and implement infrastructure changes as needed. The primary responsibilities will encompass the design, setup, installation, and implementation of databases, data maintenance (re-indexing, integrity checks, log file monitoring, etc…). Candidate must be willing to provide on-call support in a 24x7 environment Required Qualifications: - 2-4 years of experience - Experience installing, configuring, and supporting SQL Server 2000 and 2005 databases - Daily Maintenance and Administration of the database - Maintaining, understanding and communicating database structure to developers and users - Working knowledge of database performance tuning and configuration tools in MS SQL Server - Database and server security - TCP/IP concepts - Excellent written and verbal communications skills - Experience with clustering and replication Desired Qualifications: - Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integration Services - PERL knowledge - Microsoft programming languages - Strong T-SQL (procedures, triggers, functions) - Advanced skills in Transact SQL or ANSI SQL  Company: SAIC Location: Little Rock, AR 72201 Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: IT/Software Development Company: SAIC Reference Code: 125191
