SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST

Senior Business Analyst

 

Our client, the world-class manufacturer of integrated solutions for the wireless metering industry, has an immediate need to hire a SENIOR BUSINESS ANALYST for its corporate offices in North Carolina.

 

Primary responsibilities:

 

The Business Analyst position requires a hands-on person who can effectively work cross-functionally on a daily basis with design, development, and QA on the development and review of functional specifications.

Know your customers - work with clients to gather customer feedback, and participate in customer advisory groups and studies to analyze trends and identify customer requirements and hot button issues.  Know your product – help prioritize and compile appropriate business and feature requirements and commercial specifications based on customer and market needs with business and technical constraints. Build your product - collaborate with systems, design, and development to transform business requirements into new products and features. Participate in acceptance testing of projects prior to release. Drive your product - work with project deployment services to drive the launch of new products and capabilities by providing critical messaging, positioning, and product information to training, marketing, customer service, and sales. Enhance your products - prioritize efforts to maintain and incrementally enhance existing products. Work cross-functionally, become the expert - respond to product inquiries and support ongoing sales and marketing efforts including development of subject matter for RFPs and RFIs. Must be comfortable demonstrating product capabilities to customers.



Education and Experience qualifications for success:

 Bachelor of Science degree in engineering of related field (Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering) required. A MBA is preferred. Five to eight years of successful business analyst, systems analyst, and product management experience in enterprise software, technology or telecommunications fields. Five plus years of relevant work experience in enterprise software, technology or telecommunications. Knowledge of metering and utility enterprise systems such as AMI, MDM, and OMS is a plus. Highly motivated, action-oriented individual. Must be conversant and comfortable with IT terminology and concepts such as system scalability, telecommunications, software architecture, hardware architecture, and high availability. Action oriented individual. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Ability to perform both on the tactical and strategic level. Hands-on approach to managing multiple complex projects simultaneously. Ability to work well with and earn the respect of development, sales, marketing and customer service teams. U.S. Citizen or resident with ability to travel internationally. 30% - 50% travel required.
