Chevron North America Exploration and Production is accepting applications for a Reservoir Engineer, Spraberry/Wolfcamp Asset Development, located in Midland, Texas.Overview:The Spraberry/Wolfcamp Asset Development Team manages and evaluates opportunities on Joint Venture, HBP and Mineral Fee acreage in the Midland Basin. In 2009, Chevron will participate in drilling in a joint venture operation with various small and large sized independents in the Permian Basin who currently oversee the drilling and operational aspects of the Wolfcamp Resource Play. Qualifications:Responsibilities for this position may include but are not limited to:• Provide technical input and oversight to the operator within the joint venture, as well as evaluate and develops Chevron operated opportunities on company Held By Production and Mineral Fee acreage positions in the Midland Basin. • Negotiate and work with partners, develop business plans, build economic Petroleum Economics Evaluation Program models and perform annual lookbacks. • Monitor and model production performance, build statistical production models and reviewing Reserves annually as a practicing Qualified Reserve Estimator (QRE). • Assist in training or mentoring less experienced employees and work within a multifunctional team environment.Required Qualifications:• A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, preferably Petroleum Engineering.• A minimum of 3 years of directly related experience.• Experience in reservoir performance evaluation and reserves and production forecasting.• Knowledge of project development and execution decision-making processes and experience in team-based project evaluations.• Demonstrates Leadership/Mentor/Teamwork skills including communication, leading change and shaping performance, as well as continuous learning and networking skills.• In-depth decision analysis capabilities, ability to model numerous complex development scenarios.Relocation Options:Relocation may be considered within Chevron parameters.International Considerations:Expatriate assignments will be considered.EOE M/F/D/V Learn more about Chevron Location:Abilene/Odessa, TX 79705 Status:Full Time, Employee Job Category:Engineering
