Energy Automation Solutions Overview: The Energy Automation Solutions (EAS), a business unit of Cooper Power Systems (CPS), provides automation technologies and expertise in order to assist customers to improve productivity, systems reliability, and energy efficiency. These comprehensive automation solutions integrate both legacy and new transmission and distribution products. EAS has a wide range of SmartGrid solutions including distribution feeder automation, customer premise AMI, substation automation (cyber security), and reliability solutions including relays and controls. EAS delivers these end-to-end automation solutions integrating communications, sensors/controls, and software applications.   Position Overview: The Relay/Controls Application Engineer will function as the subject matter expert for all opportunities related to relay/controls. This position will be responsible for helping customers and sales representatives apply relays. In addition the person in this position will be responsible for assisting project management for relays. This position is located in Milwaukee, WI.   Essential Job Functions: Function as subject matter expect for all opportunities related to relay/controls.  Help customers and sales representatives apply relays/controls. Ensure support and initiative to sales process to secure major opportunities. Define the final solution, configure, document, deploy the turn key solution to the customer facility, and support the customer after the deployment. Ensure that projects meet all customer requirements without going out of scope. Resolve issues as they arise in order to prevent project delays. Continuously manage the expectations of internal and external customers. Deliver customer training. Provide market feedback to product manager.   Secondary Job Functions: Write and present white papers for conferences and technical conferences. Participate in trade shows and technical conferences. Determine project scope and specify technical solutions. Determine resources required for projects. Estimate, budget, and control cost for all project activities such that the project is completed within budget. Contribute to technical proposals and conformance tables during RFI/RFQ process. Contribute to the technical support improvement process. Contribute to Return Merchandise Authorization process. Contribute to documentation & customer issue/resolution databases. Contribute to quality process especially in response to customer issues.   Minimum Qualifications: B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering or Power Systems Engineering Minimum 3 years experience in power system protection Exposure to manufacturing and technology industries Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to manage time, multi-task and excel in a deadline-oriented environment Proven ability to work within customer-focused environment Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to travel up to 30% Division/Department : Cooper Power Systems Skills : Engineering -> Power Systems Travel Required : 20-30% Shift/Hours : First Shift (Day) LOCATION:  Pewaukee, au 53072STATUS:  Full Time, EmployeeJOB CATEGORY:  Marketing/ProductWORK EXPERIENCE:  2+ to 5 YearsCAREER LEVEL: Experienced (Non-Manager)EDUCATION LEVEL:Bachelor's Degree REFERENCE CODE:832
