About our Client/Partner: Electric Power Source is partnered with a large Investor owned utility and holding company that is engaged in wholesale power trading and marketing. The company trades many diverse power derivatives including weather derivatives, spreads, transmission congestion instruments, and balancing authority products. The organization has a long track record of successful trading and a deep understanding of the power and power derivatives market. The business unit is highly collaborative and strives to creatively leverage the company’s position in the market while mitigating risk and enhancing returns.A candidate is being sought to act as the regional marketing manager for the PJM interconnection market area.The successful Incumbent will have the following qualifications:· Five years or more  applicable experience in energy marketing and origination· Five years or more experience in energy project development, physical or commodity trading, or knowledge of electric power system operations· Three or more years of experience within the PJM market· Strong Knowledge of financial risk management methods and hedging concepts· A strong ability and desire to work within rapidly changing business environments· Passion for origination.· A track record of creating winning and innovative power market products· A degree in Business, engineering, economics or similar discipline combined with experience.· MBA strongly desired.You must be willing, excited, and capable of taking on the responsibilities outlined below:· Develop, negotiate, and execute energy transactions that add long-term value to the Power’s generation portfolio and to the Trading portfolio. · Ability to understand the counter party’s needs and price relationships/quantity values within the wholesale energy markets and then using this information to develop new and innovative products· Track record of  effectively assessing/utilizing internal capabilities/data, and leveraging those capabilities regarding physical energy trading, pricing strategies, financial tools, techniques and other related commodities to arbitrage opportunities between multiple commodities/markets.· Ability to establish and maintain professional, working relationships with key market participants such as utilities, power marketers and merchant developers.· In conjunction with associates in the Pricing and Structuring, Credit, Accounting and Legal groups, analyze and evaluate complex energy transactions to ensure that all relevant valuations and risk/reward relationships are favorable to the company and within approved risk management guidelines· Conduct an ongoing comprehensive assessment of all relevant aspects of the PJM region or market sector, providing feedback to management regarding near and long term business opportunities. · Proven ability to  work closely with the physical and commodity trading functions and Energy Operations to pursue transactions which compliment a power  generation portfolio and the company’s  overall trading positions.· Track record of evaluating supply/demand fundamentals, key market participants and transmission dynamics in addition to providing in-depth market information and participating in market assessments for generating asset development/acquisition effort within the PJM region.This position is based out of the Northeast United States and the successful candidate must be either living within this geographic location and /or willing to relocate.About Electric Power Source:  Electric Power Source (EPS) is a leader and innovator in the recruitment process.
