Quality Assurance Manager
Evergreen Energy is a rapidly growing company that offers combined energy, environmental and economic solutions to coal-fired power generating facilities and industrial coal users in the United States. Candidates must be self-starters, highly motivated, and have outstanding organizational skills.
Job ResponsibilitiesDevelop quality programs and procedures and oversee their implementation. Monitor conformance and quality standards. Develop and implement quality-based employee training programs. Identify possible improvements related to quality, design, or production processes. Supervise QA/QC personnel. Assist in root cause analysis of problems and help to oversee implementation of the agreed upon solution. Interface with external customers, vendors, and partners regarding matters relating to the quality system. May perform inspections either on-site or at a supplier's facility to verify adherence to the agreed upon quality requirements. May assist in failure analysis of various parts or systems. May assist in organizing company-wide quality or process improvement efforts.
Job RequirementsBA or BS Degree required. 10+ years quality assurance experience with coal and/or coal products. Familiarity with plant operations (power, oil & gas, pulp & paper, etc.) preferred. TQM and/or Six Sigma expertise. Knowledge of various codes, including: IBC, ASME B&PV, ASME B31.3. Experience with coal handling, mining or coal-fired boilers. Ability to effectively manage employees, vendors, and customers. Present quality system findings and recommendations for improvement to all levels of the company through oral and written presentations.
Working ConditionsCorporate office setting. Travel as needed.
