Project Lead - Operational Readiness

This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.  Summary of Responsibilities Provide a broad range of support for the Nodal Integration Testing (INT) project focused on Operational Readiness testing activities including Security, Redundancy, Performance, Monitoring and Daylight Savings testing. The Project Lead will provide analysis and project implementation to finalize the strategy, requirements documentation, schedule, budget, testing artifacts and the ongoing project tracking and reporting of progress. The Lead will work closely with Nodal Project Managers, Project SME’s, as well as Security and IT management to ensure the Nodal Operational Readiness testing effort is aligned with company expectations; maintain professional relationships with appropriate project teams, and colleagues.  Essential Job Functions • Develops and/or manages project implementation tasks for the successful delivery of key Operational Readiness testing efforts. Track progress against a baseline schedule. • Serves as a technical project lead to ensure Security and IT operational requirements and personnel are included in the Nodal testing efforts. • Develops project tracking dashboards and reporting tools for measuring progress • Finalizes the requirements and testing artifact development schedule for Operations Readiness testing activities (Security, Redundancy, Performance, Monitoring, and Daylight Savings testing. • Maintains strong working knowledge of all relevant companyoperations and project deliveries affecting the Operational Readiness testing. • Facilitates and promotes effective interdepartmental relationships. • Establishes an understanding of key infrastructure delivery dependencies and support process for company systems. • Identifies and escalates risks/issues as appropriate to project and program leadership. • Performs other duties as assigned. • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Project • Understanding of IT Security testing tools and methods • Provide testing metrics data to program QA manager.  Experience and Educational Requirements • Minimum 8 years Technical Project Management experience working across a broad range of Technology disciplines including software development, hardware / software infrastructure, security, middleware, and monitoring. • Proven track record for managing and successfully delivering complex Information Technology projects involving high availability systems and infrastructure • Previous experience and understanding of complex ISO business systems, operations, and technology preferred • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science or related field or six years applicable experience is required. • Minimum of 3 years (in excess of degree requirements stated above) of progressively responsible project management experience, with a preference in deregulating industries or the IT services industry.  Responsible for operations readiness testing activates including security, redundancy, performance, monitoring and daylight savings testing. Will provide analysis and project implementation to finalize the strategy, requirements documentation, schedule, budget, testing artifacts and the ongoing project tracking and reporting of progress. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Leads and directs the work of others.  The candidate should have: •A good understanding of issues surrounding Application Security, System Monitoring, and Performance at an enterprise level •Background running Application / Infrastructure projects in a complex computing environment (including a large number of heterogeneous technologies) •A variety of requirement techniques (business process model, context diagram, use case, data/object model,…) to discover and document requirements. •Strong facilitation and communication skills working across multiple cross functional teams and organizations Please submit a WORD resume to loren.guerera@modis.com for consideration.
