Qualifications:    BS in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering

Job Location:     Kingwood, TX

 

Job Purpose:

Creates mechanical drawings by planning work; rendering views; recording dimensions; developing applications; preparing bills of materials; updating databases; and making product data sheets (pdf).

 

Required Skills / Qualifications:

Must possess the ability to operate a personal computer with standard business software:

·        Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within drafting/engineering field.

·        Ability to establish priorities, work independently, and proceed with objectives.

·        Ability to communicate with customers.

·        30% Travel required, must have passport

·        Solidworks experience is helpful

 

 Primary Duties:

• Prepares mechanical sketches and drawings by rendering sectional, auxiliary, and multi-views, sub-assemblies, pictorials, dimensions, and developments; producing two- and three-dimensional orthographic projections and pictorial techniques; producing three-dimensional (3-D) models including 3-D and spherical coordinates.   

• Plans mechanical drawings by reviewing sketches, descriptions, specifications, and supporting   documents; conferring with customer or suppliers.

• Prepares supporting information by developing bills of materials.

• Documents work by recording data and drawings; updating databases.• Training in Paris, France for several weeks.
