Project Controls Management

Position Description:

Duties/responsibilities include the following:* Assist the Manager of the Project Management Office in the development and maintenance of Project Management Information Systems processes and tools.* Provide assistance in developing a training program for the Project Management and Project Controls Processes.* Provide ad-hoc support and consulting to Project Teams in the use and implementation of Project Controls Systems.* As needed, assist in the administrative duties of the Project Management Office in supporting division activities for the Office of the Chief Engineer

Qualifications:

* Engineering degree with emphasis in Construction Management or Industrial Engineering, or equivalent.* 15 + years experience in Project Controls and Project Management with extensive knowledge in planning, scheduling, cost, and earned value performance.* Must have advanced knowledge in using scheduling programs, such as P3e, P3 v3.1, and MS Project, including the ability to effectively transfer data between these systems.* Advanced skills in using Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio, and MS Access is required.* Experience in development and delivery of training programs related to Project Management/Project Controls is a plus.* Ability to use pervasive software (i.e., SDK or API) to establish links between schedules and other internally developed MS Access/Oracle applications is a plus.* Experience with MS Access VB a plus.* Experience in the power industry is required, preferably with a mix of project work performed in the following fields/industries: fossil fuel plants, nuclear engineering, and construction. * PMP or other professional certification is required.
