Product Engineer
SolarSmart, a leading ‘green’ technology firm, dedicated to developing off-grid solutions to serve both the public and private sectors. Our state of the art innovations in the ‘solar’ market are bringing practical applications to help illuminate everything from energy efficient street signs, to environmentally friendly commercial signs without the traditional dependency on the energy grid. SolarSmart is headquartered in New York City with manufacturing facilities in New Jersey. SolarSmart is well positioned to become the dominant provider of solar powered LED signage in the United States.We are currently seeking a qualified Product Engineer to join our growing team.

Responsibilities:
Specify parameters of subassemblies and components for use in advanced solar signage. These include cables, connectors, battery technologies, solar panels, and electronic control circuitry. Involved in sourcing designs and testing prototype parts to specifications. Drives warranty, quality and failure analysis of completed systems. Key interface between Solar Smart and its' component partners and suppliers.
