 Role and Scope of Position:

 

This position is responsible for all aspects of product development and management for Commercial & Industrial (C&I) Energy Efficiency (EE) programs with the goal of maximizing both cost effectiveness and customer satisfaction.  This includes: 1) end to end management of existing products including product line extensions/enhancements, product performance reviews, and product integrity, and 2) the development of new products including market research, competitive analysis, development of new product/enhancements business plans, product launch project management, product documentation and implementation. 

 

 Essential Functions:

 

 - Identify market needs for C& I customer base and address them through new product development, product extensions, and updating features and benefits.

 

-Provides technical assistance and direction to Program Managers and Account Executives related to complex C&I technologies and projects;

 

- Develop new product business, including quantitative analysis of market conditions, competitive environment and trends.

 

- Leads cross-functional teams in new product development, including management of project timelines and deliverables.

 

- Researches new program offerings, develops procedures, policies, operating structure and information flow to ensure high-quality working relationships with contractors and customers participating in EE programs.

 

- Serve as key interface for pricing, product benefit and policy development as well as operations for product 

 

 

 Qualifications: 

 

Technical Knowledge/Skill: Minimum of 3-5 years product management or development experience. Requires theoretical and practical knowledge of methods, practices and principles of electrical and mechanical systems and equipment.  Also requires knowledge of commercial/industrial building systems and industrial processes.  Requires excellent written and oral communication skills and strong business acumen. Ability to organize data and understand written technical instructions, procedures and documents.  Ability to use PC desktop applications (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel), mainframe systems and databases.

 

Education: Requires a Bachelor Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline or equivalent experience.  Masters Degree preferred.

 

Experience: Minimum of five (5) years related energy efficiency experience.

Licenses & Certifications: Certified Energy Manager preferred.
