These assets enable Waste Management to offer a full range of environmental services to nearly 20 million residential, industrial, municipal and commercial customers. I. Job Summary Manages and coordinates the procurement of materials, components, supplies, services, etc., essential to the operation, ensuring that purchases be of the required quality and quantity, at the most economical costs, and of timely delivery. II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned. Participate in Corporate lead sourcing programs and activities Set sourcing strategy Develop in depth knowledge of supply base and major commodities purchased within the group Maintain constant awareness of economic and supplier conditions that may impact pricing, supply or supplier performance Develop sourcing strategies for local and regional commodity categories that will meet current and future cost, quality and/or service requirements Indentify sourcing programs or project, including specific cost savings, quality and service improvement objectives Manage project implementation plans to successful completion and resolve post implementation issues Ensure sourcing projects achieve planned results and assist in analysis Resolve supplier performance and supply chain problems prior to issues causing business interruption Evaluate spend patterns to identify opportunities for ne agreements or additional savings Monitor contract utilization and supplier contract compliance. III. Supervisory Responsibilities This position does not have a supervisory role at this time. IV. Qualifications The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. A. Education and Experience Mandatory Requirements: Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent experience, and seven or more years experience in Procurement.  5 years managing supplier relationships.  3 years experience writing and evaluating requests for quotes.  3 years experience writing, reviewing and negotiating supplier agreements.  Significant experience and proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite of products. Desired:  Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or Supply Chain.  Advanced degree in Finance/Accounting (MBA).  CPM or APP.  10 years experience in Procurement.  7 years managing supplier relationships.  5 years experience with heavy truck parts.  5 years experience preparing and analyzing RFPs.  2 years experience in data mining activities.  Experience in the truck firls (truck and body parts). B. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirements CPM or APP preferred. C.
