Executive (SVP, VP, Department Head, etc) Industry: Energy and Utilities Job Ref Code: 080744 PacifiCorp is one of the lowest-cost electricity producers in the United States, providing more than 1.6 million customers with reliable, efficient energy.General Purpose Manages a geographic territory, region, location or cross-functional unit, which has a major impact on corporate, business unit, or organizational objectives.  Establishes strategic business objectives, strategies, and plans in support of Company strategic goals.  Manages and allocates financial and employee resources.  Responsible for selecting, coaching, and developing employees and management of employee salaries. Implements and supports Company programs and policies.  Typically supervises Manager-level employees. Responsibilities of this position include the following: Engineer, procure and construct supplier bidding processes for large projects typically $25m - $500m associated with and not limited to 345kV and 500kV transmission lines, substation construction and other major equipment requirements. Examine expenditure programs, budget forecasts and existing contractual arrangements. Develop and deliver plans to reposition Pacific Power and Rocky Mountain Power to achieve increased value at reduced risk from its procurement spend associated with and not limited to supply, construction and OEM agreements. Develop, communicate and deliver procurement strategies for complex supply requirements, effectively plan outcomes, schedule tasks and measure outputs. Assumes accountability for activities within a team environment involving complex commercial situations. Maintain strict compliance with procurement principles of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company while implementing an ever increasing depth of compliance with PacifiCorp procurement and governance policies. Lead and manage procurement initiatives between the subsidiaries of MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company. Support project controls scheduling and cost tracking systems. Maintain accurate awareness of market movement and trends affecting company business. Review and evaluate employee performance and provide annual reviews. Select, lead, coach, develop and manage staff and resources to support procurement requirements of transmission and distribution. Requirements for this position include the following:  Bachelor’s Degree in Business Finance, Engineering or a related field; or the equivalent combination of education and experience. A minimum of ten years of professional experience. A minimum of five years direct people management experience. A thorough understanding and use of financial modeling, contract terms and conditions, dispute resolution. Significant experience negotiating and optimizing contracts for major engineered equipment supply, construction, and long term service agreements.  Knowledge and experience in working effectively with large construction firms and OEM suppliers.  Knowledge of contracts, commercial and construction law, claims avoidance, insurance, regulatory compliance, risk control, and contract administration.  Demonstrated oral and written communication skills, including superior negotiating and dispute resolution skills.  Superior interpersonal skills to effectively interface with a diverse team and project environments.  Proficiency using personal computer tools such as Word, Excel, and Microsoft Project Scheduler. Ability to travel as required.  This position will require travel within Pacificorp’s service territory.Preferences:  Advanced DegreeAll offers of employment contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen and background check.
