Globally top-ranking consulting company with over $10B in revenues last year seeks a Consultant from another of the “Ivy League” management consulting firms with Power/Utilities Auctions-experience and a PhD in Economics to join their Power-Utilities practice.  Starting annual compensation up to $250K+ dependent on experience. Submit resumes as Microsoft Word attachments to:  glacey@mri-boston.com  Title: Power / Utilities PhD Economic Consultant – Auctions Location: Washington DC Open To: US Citizen Candidates (Relocation provided)  Position Overview: Our client, a top-ranked international consulting firm, has an immediate opening for a Consultant from another of the “Ivy League” management consulting firms with Power/Utilities Auctions-experience and a PhD in Economics to compliment their international Energy Markets team.  This organization has clientele which fully comprise the public and private sectors globally; to include governmental bodies.  This Consultant role will apply subject-matter expertise to Power / Electric- and energy-related issues – such as such as Auctions, Policy, Regulation, M&A, Restructuring, Risk Management, Product Positioning, etc –  and be responsible for applying theoretical and empirical economic and industry analysis including statistical, econometric and economic theory related to such matters; oversight of modeling and other project methods; production of papers, presentations, and other media; client development and presenting; and associated staff management for multiple satellite-projects around the world. Requirements: Several years of real associated experience within Power / Electric arena and within Auctions; depth of cross-functional experience as to how such comprehensive issues impact Energy markets preferred.  Demonstrated ability to fulfill the above-mentioned role requirements as they relate to research, analysis, application, and associated collateral deliverables required. PhD in Economics The ability to work well within teams – particularly those internationally dispersed – is important Must be experienced managing staff and organizing multiple projects Must be able to travel when needed Willingness to work within Washington DC, and therefore be willing and able to live around the Beltway region of Washington DC, Northern Virginia, or southern Maryland.Compensation: Starting annual compensation up to $250K+ dependent on experience.
