Planner & Scheduler
The Planner & Scheduler must have knowledge of mechanical and piping systems with a high level of expertise using Maximo; the company’s computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). CMMS will be used to manage the backlog of work; maintain a list of priority outage work; plan and schedule work; add, modify, and delete equipment data records; managing the PM programs; and run reports in order to keep the organization updated on progress and areas of concern. This individual will also develop plans and schedules and track work progress on all capital and major maintenance projects. Employ reliability centered maintenance concepts to preventive maintenance program. The position reports to the Director of Distribution and Project Services.
Scope & Responsibilities:
Good verbal and written communication skills are a must. This individual will facilitate regular planning meetings to establish work priorities, sequence of work activities, and collaborate with others to determine deadlines. Issues reports and conducts management presentations on work order aging, work plans, schedules and progress updates.
· Facilitate regular planning meetings to establish short and long term work activities and monitor progress
· Prepares permit plans and works with city officials to obtain permits
· Facilitate meeting that will review all planned work and determine what work should be scheduled
· Identify critical path obstacles in the process and work through them
· Coordinate the results analysis of the PM program as well as the Root Cause Analysis program, to identify potential hazards and the plans to prevent them from occurring
· Work with supervisors to review work orders to prioritize them in regards to criticality and necessity
· Work with the maintenance manager in the development of outage scopes based on existing work orders, a knowledge of concerns, and expected PM work
· Use the tools in CMMS to update schedules and work order statuses
· Creation, modification, and deletion of equipment identifications
· Run and distribute reports including backlog reports, key performance indicators (KPI) reports, track statistically KPI, analyze and report findings to management team on a scheduled basis
· Develop and update long term milestones and project schedules
Required Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience in planning, coordinating, and scheduling operations
· 3-5 years’ experience planning, scheduling, coordinating through the complete mechanical and piping system cycle
· Working knowledge of Maximo computerized maintenance management system
· Computer proficiency with CMMS, Excel, Word, Microsoft Project, and PowerPoint.
· Excellent communication skills, ability to learn quickly and work under pressure with superior interpersonal skills
· Uses discretion concerning confidential and sensitive company information
· Ability to work with all levels of the organization
Preferred Skills, Knowledge & Experience:
· Maximo implementation experience, CAD 2000, SQL, and oracle data base knowledge in an industrial application
