Pipeline Scheduler

Directly responsible for coordinating customer shipments of petroleum products in a given geographic section (500-750 miles) of Sunoco Pipeline in accordance with thruput and revenue goals, power optimization, quality, and overall pipeline policies. Directly responsible for developing and maintaining a schedule of events to occur within a given time and for a given area of the transportation system. Responsible for monitoring each days activity to assure the overall scheduling plan is being executed correctly. Make revisions on a timely basis to keep Control Center forecast synchronized with the intended plan. Responsible for issuing daily pumping orders to the Control Center in a timely and accurate fashion. Interface with the Eastern Area Control Center Supervisors when there is any need for clarification, problem-solving, etc. Directly responsible for monitoring and reconciling billing activity and issuing final accounting tickets to origins, destinations and shippers. Research problems and document corrections to assure monthly shipper invoice accuracy. Provide analytical support when necessary to Product Movement Department and Business Development Department in areas of continuous improvement and business growth. Maintain knowledge of product specifications to assure correct batching of products, avoiding contamination and minimizing interface and thruput losses. Requires ability to assist in trouble shooting and recommending solutions to quality problems. Responsible for continuous evaluation of pipeline irregularities, diagnosing problems and directing field personnel as required.

Job Requirements:
Bachelors degree or equivalent experience. Minimum 2-3 years pipeline and/or scheduling experience. Excellent communications skills (verbal and written), and good interpersonal skills. Must be extremely flexible and able to adapt quickly to change. Strong organizational skills and time management skills required. Good computer skills.
