Job Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Engineering Contact Information Company: CORESTAFF Services Email: Apply by Email Phone: 804-915-7876 Reference Code: 29763 Job Description Petroleum Geologist - Gas Factory Drilling Petroleum Geologist (Gas Factory Drilling)Candidate will perform complete and accurate studies of specific geological sites through effectively performing log interpretation and correlation.Candidate will be responsible for optimizing recoverable reserves through effective support in identifying wells for recompletion work; supporting the safe, timely and cost-effective completion of new wells and workovers coincident with departmental goals and objectives; effective departmental support through diligently performing assignments for developing technical and industry knowledge.Desire a petroleum geologist with "gas factory" drilling program experience targeting tight sands and shales. Must have a working knowledge of geophysical log analysis, cross-section generation, isopach mapping and petroleum fundamentals. Candidate must be computer literate and familiar with basic word processing and spreadsheet software. Knowledge of Geographix software is a plus. Must be willing to perform field work, including well logging jobs, casing and cement design and implementation.Occasional coring and sample well-site work is also expected on an as needed basis.Required: Master's in Geology. "Major" company or large independentexperience and training a plus. Two plus years working in "gas factory" plays desired.
