Performance Engineer
An international manufacturing company located in NE Atlanta is looking for a Performance Engineer to analyze, document, and write reports to support the Company’s products. This position will also support the Company’s research & development projects. R&D will be in the area of heat transfer, thermodynamics, statistics, and fluid mechanics.
Skill Requirements:
Degreed Mechanical or Chemical Engineer required.
Fluent in written and spoken English
Experience working with technical data, excel spreadsheet (knowledge of VBA is an asset), basic statistical, and mathematical analysis (knowledge of Matlab is a plus).
Must possess excellent writing skills with appropriate knowledge of technical engineering terms.
College courses in basic power generation, heat transfer, thermodynamics, statistics and fluid mechanics or work related experience.
2 – 3 years experience with fossil fueled boiler and/or pulp mill recovery boiler operations is a great plus.

Candidate must be detailed oriented, have exceptional organizational skills and able to handle multi task projects. They must also have excellent problem solving skills, be a self-starter and able to work with little supervision. This person must possess the capacity to effectively deal with customers on a daily basis and be able to take the initiative to obtain answers. Previous experience with a Boiler OEM or a power plant in the Utility or Pulp and Paper Industries is a plus.
