Illinois locations: Braceville, Byron, Clinton, Marseilles, Moline, Morris, and Warrenville Pennsylvania locations: Delta, Kennett Square, Middletown, and Pottstown New Jersey location: Forked River Exelon is currently looking for a Nuclear Oversight Lead Assessor at our Peach Bottom Atomic Power Station located in Delta, PA. The selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Provide guidance and technical expertise to a team of professionals conducting Assessments for functional areas (Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Plant Support) at a nuclear site. Provide direction in the development of assessment/audit strategic plans, schedules and performance measurement including reports to ensure comprehensive and timely oversight. Assures that applicable regulatory requirements and commitments are met. Provides direct supervision of the development of ratings for functional areas through analysis of functional area performance. Develops insights using analytical tools and provides feedback on team performance. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Responsible and accountable for targeting site performance assessments and communicating the results such that performance weaknesses are recognized and communicated prior to experiencing a significant decline. 2. Leads comprehensive assessments of site organizations to assure accurate performance ratings as well as individual program adequacy and implementation effectiveness. Oversees assessment and audit preparation. Provides technical direction to the assessment team members to ensure effective communication of all deficiencies encountered during the oversight conducted. Assist in the management of the day to day operations of the Site NOS organization. 3. Reviews findings/issues/non-conformances identified during audits or assessments to determine program quality. This review includes all available oversight results, both internal and external and trending data. Assures results are communicated to senior management. 4. Fulfill supervisory and management responsibilities for site NOS staff. 5. Track and ensure follow-up of deficient and non-conformance items identified during audits or assessments. 6. Provides briefings to regulatory agencies and Exelon Nuclear senior management regarding the scope, status and conclusions of audits or assessments. 7. Perform special assignments and support other Exelon sites as directed. 8. Provides input into improvements for the assessment program. This input would include recommendation for the scoping, scheduling and conduct of assessments. Assures through research, communication and industry knowledge that current regulatory requirements, codes and standards are utilized to effectively prepare and conduct assessments. REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor¿s degree in Engineering or Science- Minimum of 10 years professional level experience in power plant design, operations, maintenance or other nuclear related activities or More than 15 years professional level experience in power plant design, operations, maintenance or other nuclear related activities with at least 5 years being equivalent supervisory or Assessment related - Demonstrated ability to interface with Senior Station Management and clearly communicate issues - Lead Assessor/Audit Team Lead certification required within 18 months of assignment PREFERRED - Holds or has previously held a Senior Reactor Operator license or certification is preferred or has previously supervisory experience in Engineering, Maintenance, Work Management or Plant Support areas - Satisfy ANSI N18 or ANS/ANSI 3.1 requirements as applicable for the target site If interested, please apply online at http://track.jobviper.com/ViewJob.asp?id=551033-3-783 POSITION INFORMATION Company: Exelon Generation Co., LLC Location: Delta Status: Full Time, Employee Job Category: Quality Assurance/Safety Career Level: Experienced (Non-Manager) CONTACT INFORMATION Company: Exelon Generation Co., LLC Reference Code: 5743
