PSCM Materials Management Team Leader

Description:The post holder will bring functional experience to design the right materials management integrated structure (organization, processes, systems) to consolidate Materials Management (Operations, Wells and Major Project) into one entity and to allow us to capture added value as a major operator. Additionally, they will lead the new team to enhance standardization of common inventory and material management processes to provide better efficiency and compliance with BP policies and will also simplify and enhance our optimization of inventory levels, purchasing power, and utilization of physical warehouse and lay down areas in support of San Juan Operations. A critical factor for successful candidate will be to provide exceptional integrated materials management services to BPs San Juan team to assist with managing the business for maximum value, not minimum cost. The effort should ensure continuity of our activities in the SJ area, set strategic direction and provide support and leadership to the new materials management organization.Qualifications:- Procurement & Supply Chain Management exerience is requried- Strong background in all aspects of material management, including warehouse management & procurement - Familiar with COPAS accounting rules and with maintenance and materials management control systems- Previous experience working in a field/operational environment- Knowledge of safety and environmental requirements related to Materials Management - Skilled at building relationships- Strong communication and influencing skills- Legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than your current employer- The willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time in order to fulfill the responsibilities of this position- Minimum of a University degree (Four year / Bachelor's degree) in Business or Supply Chain ManagementSalary/Benefits: Salary commensurate with experienceJob Location: Durango, COJob Number: 1708BRCompany Profile:Our business is the exploration, production, refining, trading and distribution of energy. BP's Exploration and Production segment focuses on finding reserves of oil and gas, developing the means to extract and process it and then consistently producing and transporting it to market. BP E&P Global Procurement & Supply Chain Management (PSCM) is responsible for working with Strategic Performance Units (SPUs) and other functional groups to maximize value delivered from expenditures with third parties. PSCM provides procurement and supply chain management for oil and natural gas exploration, development and production and related transportation and processing activities. The PSCM function is envisioned as a key lever to provide a significant contribution to BP's bottom line and is in the midst of implementing a new Strategy to enable BP to meet its targets on cash costs, capital expenditures and production.
