We currently have an opening for a PRODUCT MANAGER - PUMPS in our Fort Worth location for the right candidate with the following qualifications.
Requirements/Qualifications:Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering; MBA beneficial10+ years of product and market experience with strong pressure pumping product knowledge Position requires the incumbent to be critical in evaluation and strongly motivational in managing the product/product familyProven track record of collaboration and relationship building skills both internally as well as externally working effectively with customers and channel partners
§ Demonstrated experience developing and delivering product enhance-ments for existing customers or promoting existing products to new customer in new regions
The role of the Product Manager is to manage product, promotion, placement and pricing – 4-P’s of product management – over the product (or family of products) life cycle. They are responsible to ensure that that product portfolio is robust; investments are sound, product meet market needs and expectations.
· Manage the product, promotion, placement, pricing (4-P’s) over the product (or family of products) lifecycle ensuring product portfolio is robust and products meet market needs and expectations.
· Manage product lifecycle and product obsolescence process (grow, maintain, harvest, divest)
· Responsible for establishing and maintaining price book for all assigned products and establishing special pricing and terms for customer involved in volume purchases.
· Manage marketing communication requirements, training materials, Entry-into-Service Planning and Execution. Includes industry related literature/sales, materials, product brochures and advertising copy.
· Provides technical expertise to sales personnel to supports large product quotations and winning strategies.
· Develop product ‘should cost’ and pricing targets (market level pricing) – based on competitive pricing and desired margins
· Assess market requirements: Voice of Customer, Value Proposition, Reliability, Cost of Ownership
· Recommend engineering investments in products (upgrades, reliability, product growth, etc) and manage product development projects thru product launch/commercialization (Innovation Pipeline)
· Develops competitor product trending
· Tracks the installed base of the product
· Manages product customer satisfaction
· Manage completion of payback analysis, market size, installed base, return on investments
· Manage product warranty and cost reduction
· Planning and conducting technical seminars for sales personnel, channel partners or customer groups.
· Serves as a speaker during technical presentation portion of global, national and regional trade shows. Presentations to cover product line, applications and innovations.
· Writes technical articles for industry trade publications. These articles are frequently co-authored with key customer personnel. This often establishes a special relationship with important customers and brings the Company name forward in the area of technical expertise.
· Manage growth in markets, cross-markets/regions and connection to other division products
