POWER PLANT OPERATOR
Position is located at Escalante Station, near Grants, NM.
Performs manual labor and semi-skilled tasks to support the operations of the coal hoisting systems, auxiliary plant equipment, the scrubber and bag house, boiler/turbine operation and other related plant functions.
Must have and maintain a current, valid driver’s license. Must pass TABE Math and Reading test and SRA Mechanical Concepts test.
Experience with basic familiarization of fans, pumps, motors, and other moving and rotating equipment have been demonstrated.
Two to five years of power plant operator work experience is required and must be able to pass a technical test and/or demonstrate the knowledge and ability to perform the essential functions of the position.
Must reside within a one hour reporting time to the Escalante Generating Station.
