Operations Maintenance & Services (OMS) Customer Manager- Midwest Region
SummaryThis position is responsible for the coordination of personnel, schedules, tooling, inventory control, reporting and customer interface on wind turbine projects within a defined customer portfolio. Due to the nature of the wind projects, this position will require a varying amount of travel at times to meet business goals and objectives (up to 50% of time, but except for unusual circumstances, home on weekends).Duties and Responsibilities-Directs manpower, materials, equipment and tools, etc., associated with the operations, maintenance and service of multiple wind turbine facilities.-Directly interfaces with customers on projects within a specific customer portfolio.-Establishes operating and control procedures.-Administers staffing requirements, including counseling, mentoring, disciplinary, and performance reviews and evaluations.-Insures job positions are assigned according to capabilities of individuals.-Develops budgets, training programs and reports to assure that sites are operated, maintained and serviced to their maximum coverage.-Interface with cross functional disciplines within the company to resolve technical and other issues that need resolution to meet Customer goals and objectives.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesUp to 100 personnel at times. QUALIFICATIONS:To perform the job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and / or ability required.-Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.-Demonstrate leadership skills with focus on safety, integrity and the empowerment of those working for you.-Basic computer skills required, i.e. MS Office programs.-Must be able to travel as needed to meet business goals and objectives (approximately 50%).-Ability to multi-task and communicate well in a busy work environment.-Strong organizational skills required and able to effectively manage multiple activities simultaneously.-Candidate must have excellent written and oral communication skills and be detail oriented.-Advantageous to have an understanding of and/or familiarity with:-Direct Current Electricity, Alternating Current Electricity, Working around 1500 volts or less.-Voltage Testers, Multimeters, Amp Clamps, Oscilloscopes, Meghommeters, Infrared Testers, Voltage Test Procedures, Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures, Electric Static Discharge, Hydraulics, Accumulator Charging, Crane Hand Signals, Soldering, Fasteners, Torquing, Hytorqs, Fiber Optics, First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Tower Rescue.EDUCATION:Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, with two years related experience and/or training in a challenging work environment.
