OES CONTROL ENGINEER
Location: Pittsburg, CA 94565 Division: Engineering Responsibilities: You will be responsible for executing moderately complex engineering projects; performing project engineering maintenance and project work from design to implementation in accordance with Praxair policies; participating as a key contributor on project and technical teams; providing technical guidance to others as assigned; working independently and making technical decisions based on full awareness of viability, cost and other benefits; developing and implementing innovative solutions; having basic understanding of a continuous chemical production process; being proficiency with process control content of P&I diagrams; having a working knowledge of schematic wiring diagrams, primary instrumentation & electrical background with experience with control system electrical and instrumentation components (valves, analyzers, field sensors, control panels, etc.); demonstrating significant technical independence, excellent project management skills and leadership in development of control system application and safety standards. 20-33% travel to complete specific projects is required. Requirements: To qualify, you must have an Associate Bachelor's Degree with 3 - 5 years of experience, or equivalent work experience. Having a background with control system support and maintenance of PLC/DCS based systems in continuous operations with an emphasis on process and control systems, troubleshooting, and practical application experience with air separation or steam methane reformer operation, Emerson Delta V, Allen Bradley PLC configuration skills, and networking including LAN/WAN/Routers are preferred.
