Nuclear Power Project Managers / Consultants
Description System One is seeking experienced Project Managers & Consultants knowledgeable in Nuclear Power Generation. We are looking for individuals with backgrounds in nuclear power generation project management and consulting as well as nuclear safety and licensing. Projects and responsibilities may include but are not limited to the following: Nuclear power plant upgrade and repair projects with nuclear utility clients. Various safety and licensing tasks as associated with each particular nuclear facility. Utility interface, verbal and written, with the Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC) and state representatives. Operability and reportability determinations. Coordination of NRC inspections. Safety walkdowns. Decommissioning activities. Provide Radiological Engineering and Health Physics support Plant design audits, proposal preparation and technical marketing presentations. Radiation protection and shielding calculations in support of nuclear power plant design. QA and design reviews of calculations and drawings. Provide training to plant equipment operators. Present Licensing and Safety training as necessary. Supervision of other project managers assigned to various projects. Maintaining and increasing client base. Execution of cross division projects and assignments. Implementation of power project assignments. Provide leadership to project managers, engineers, and other support staff. Create client proposals. Execute projects within time and budget restraints. Develop market opportunities by identifying power solution packages. RequirementsBS in technical engineering field or related business field is required. Minimum of 15 – 25 years of experience in nuclear power projects. Experience with site feasibility studies, NRC codes and standards,conceptual engineering, owner’s engineering, independent engineering, EPC contracting, construction management, start up and testing of nuclear power projects. Prior experience with nuclear safety and licensing projects is a strong plus. Knowledge of radiological engineering and health physics is a plus. Project engineering and / or project management experience highly desirable. Operations and maintenance experience with power plants is a plus. Ability to work in a team environment. Excellent Interpersonal skills. Capable of producing detailed reports related to required position duties. Ability to make presentations Self starting individual with good sales skills would be ideal.
