Nuclear Power Plant Mechanical Maintenance Department Head
The McLain Group represents a client with an immediate need for a commercial nuclear power plant Mechanical Maintenance Department Head. Our client is a leading provider of nuclear generated electrical power and offers an excellent compensation and benefits package. The Mechanical Maintenance Department Head provides direction in the performance of all mechanical maintenance and modification activities including Fix It Now, predictive maintenance, refuel floor and mechanical. Accountable to accomplish all work activities in the mechanical maintenance group in the most cost effective manner possible without compromising safety, ensuring compliance with all company, state and federal regulations. Also accountable for long range work planning and organizational decisions for the mechanical maintenance section. Manages and controls the productions and outage efforts of the mechanical maintenance area. Responsible for the overall administration and control of the mechanical maintenance sections. Requirements: Seven years responsible nuclear power plant experience or applicable industrial experience, a minimum of one year of which shall be nuclear power experience. Should have non-destructive testing familiarity, craft knowledge and an understanding of electrical, pressure vessel and piping codes. Extensive knowledge of all maintenance programs, job requirements, procedures, work activities and plant systems. Thorough knowledge of planning/scheduling requirements, information management systems, man-hour estimating programs and labor agreements and required.
