Illinois locations: Braceville, Byron, Clinton, Marseilles, Moline, Morris, and Warrenville Pennsylvania locations: Delta, Kennett Square, Middletown, and Pottstown New Jersey location: Forked River Exelon is currently looking for a Nuclear Oversight Assessor at our Clinton Generating Station located in Clinton, IL to support Chemistry, RP, Emergency Preparedness, or Training. PRIMARY PURPOSE: Provide technical expertise to a team of professionals conducting Assessment activities for Nuclear Plant Support functions, including RP, Training, Chemistry, Emergency Preparedness, etc. Provide assistance in the development of assessment/audit strategic plans, schedules, observations and performance measurement including fleet reports to ensure comprehensive and timely oversight. Assures, based on type of oversight being conducted, that applicable regulatory requirements and commitments are met. Assesses the performance of line organizations to procedure requirements, policies, expected behaviors and management expectations. Provides input to the audit functions based on observations in performance assessment. Compels the line to improve performance through line observations and provided insights. MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Responsible and accountable for performing site performance assessments in their responsible area and communicating the results such that performance weaknesses are recognized and communicated prior to experiencing a significant decline. 2. Conducts, coordinates or participates in comprehensive assessments of site organizations to assure program adequacy and implementation effectiveness. Conducts audit or assessment preparation including development of required checklists and writing final reports. Provides direction to team members to ensure effective communication of all deficiencies encountered during the oversight conducted. Provides input to the audit functions based on observations in performance assessment. 3. Track and follow-up deficiencies and findings identified during audits or assessments. 4. Analyzes findings/issues/non-conformances identified during audits or assessments to determine program quality and identify performance trends. This analysis includes all available oversight results, both internal and external, and trending data. Results are communicated to senior management. 5. Provides written and verbal briefings to Exelon Nuclear senior management regarding the scope, status, and conclusions of audits or assessments. 6. Provides input into improvements for the audit or assessment program. This input would include recommendation for the scoping, scheduling, and conduct of audits or assessments. 7. Perform special assignments and support other fleet NOS organizations as assigned. 8. Assures through research, communication, and industry knowledge that current regulatory requirements, codes and standards are utilized to effectively prepare and conduct audits/assessments. REQUIREMENTS . BS (Technical or Science) with minimum 6 years professional experience in nuclear power plant design, operations, maintenance, or other nuclear related activities with at least 3 years quality assurance related experience or- Minimum 10 years experience in nuclear power plant design, operations, maintenance, or other nuclear related activities with at least 5 years being equivalent supervisory/experienced management level technical or quality assurance related . Demonstrated ability to interface with Senior Station Management and clearly communicate issues Preferred: - Holds or has previously held a Senior Reactor Operator license or certification is preferred for Operations area - Holds or has previously held a design or system engineering position is preferred for Engineering area - Maintenance, Work Control, or Supply Management is preferred for the Maintenance area Exelon is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer.
