About This OpportunityThe selected candidate will be responsible for the following: Nuclear/Advanced Engineer – Reactor Engineering Summary of ResponsibilitiesResponsible for developing reactivity plans for power maneuvers.Responsible for obtaining and processing flux map data to ensure compliance with Technical Specifications.Responsible for initiating, investigating, and correcting problems within the FENOC corrective action program.Responsible for Start-up physics testing following a refueling outage.Coordinating the receipt of fuel assemblies and the tracking of special nuclear material.Conduct of tests during operation for the purpose of veryifying compliance with Technical Specifications.Participation in team self-assessments and implemention excellence plans.Providing control room support during power changes and responding to control room concerns dealing with the reactor/reactivity. Qualifications Required:FOR NUCLEAR ENGINEER: Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Nuclear Engineering preferable. Must be able to obtain access to a Nuclear Power Plant.Demonstrated proficiency and ability to solve moderate to difficult technical problems in a sound and efficient manner.Willingness to work occasional odd and extended hours as plant needs dictate. Must have excellent oral and written communication skills.Proficient in PC applications, in particular Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power PointSupport Emergency Response Organization responsibilities.
