Mgr Risk Analysis
Key Responsibilities:
The Risk Manager will lead and direct the team responsible for assessing/analyzing the risk associated with capital projects within Spectra Energy Gas Transmission using the Monte Carlo simulation or other risk management software. The manager will lead and develop the staff to work with multi departmental based teams for major Engineering and Construction projects. Provide strategic direction for risk identification for Engineering & Construction capital projects. Manage the development of the risk templates for pipeline, compression, storage and other projects based on existing cost estimates. Manage and facilitate identification and analysis of risks to ensure that the key risks are identified. Oversee the Monte Carlo iterations and prepare summaries for review with Director of Marketing, Project Director, VP Engineering and Construction and Group VP U.S. Project Execution. Manage the development of the risk database. Manage the preparation of critical engineering risk information to be included in the Risk Tracker. Attend Risk Tracker meetings. Responsible for risk identification and analysis for the Project Team. The Risk Manager will be responsible to provide the Project Managers, Project Sponsors and Directors within Engineering & Construction with information and suggestions on the risk simulation.
Basic Qualifications: BS in Economics, Statistics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Marketing, Construction Management, Engineering or Risk Management. Minimum of 10 years of combined experience in the areas of budgeting, forecasting, project cost accounting or project management or project/construction management. Supervision experience required.
Desired Qualifications: MBA a plus. Exposure to engineering construction project work is a plus.
