Metrology Technician level 1

We are currently seeking several level 1 Metrology Techniciansat PCI Energy Services, a subsidiary of Westinghouse Electric Company Global Field Services. Based out of our Lake Bluff, IL facility, PCI specializes in welding and machining applications at both nuclear and non-nuclear sites around the world.Qualified candidate should:- Be able to complete the domestic requirements to be granted unescorted access to work in various nuclear facilities (i.e., work history, background checks, references, physicals, FFD testing, MMPI testing, and random drug and alcohol screenings, etc.).- Be capable of successfully passing Radiation Worker training at various nuclear facilities.- Have good mechanical aptitude, and familiarity with precision measuring instruments.- Have the ability to read drawings, reference manuals, and assembly instruction guides.- Practice good work ethics while working in a team environment to achieve a common goal with others.- Observe and adhere to the appropriate industrial safety and health programs established by PCI and assigned work facilities.- Perform a variety of two (2) and three (3) dimensional measuring and modeling assignments and projects - Work in a multi-craft environment.- Have the ability and willingness to work different shifts (am / pm) in various locations as required.- Be willing to work overtime and be available for after-hour emergency services when necessary.- Have the ability and willingness to work in a variety of work environments including outdoors in all weather conditions.- Develop the ability to respond to customer requirements and address problem-solving aspects of all fieldwork to determine solutions.- Be responsible to meet or exceed Customer and Supervisor expectations in an efficient manner.- Be able to lift 70 lbs.- Set up, operate, maintain and troubleshoot metrology equipment - Collect, verify, and process data collected utilizing various measuring methods and practices .- Work using AutoCAD and other computer-assisted software .- Have the ability to accommodate extensive travel (75 - 90%).Ideal Candidate would have:*Completed a technical program in metrology or have at least 1 year of work experience.*Self-motivation Westinghouse technology is the basis for nearly half of the world's nuclear power plants.
