Mechanical Engineer with DOE Q or DOD TS Clearance Needed for Laser Enrichment Project

Del Technical Services, Inc. is currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer for a laser enrichment project with a Nuclear Manufacturing Company in Wilmington, NC. The project is expected to last 1-3 years. In addition to competitive pay we offer healthcare benefit packages, 10 paid holidays, and additional paid time off.

 


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Coordinate work efforts of the Design Office mechanical design personnel to assure designs are practical, meet all requirements, and accurate.Determine suitable component selection as new or replacement item in existing designs.Prepare and review Bills of Material, drawings, specifications, etc., for accuracy, clarity, and constructability.Evaluate designs for adequacy as-is or for engineering changes and determine cost (design man hours) to implement approved changes.Assist with development of new design concepts and modifications to existing designs.Provides necessary design information to engineering staff and junior designers for coordination of engineering and design efforts.Deliver complete and accurate detailed design drawings as required for fabrication, assembly and installation that meet project requirements and applicable US Codes and Standards.Prepare Bills of Material.Prepare Custom or Commercial component specifications.Creates designs that function in a safe manner (OSHA) with optimum cost and reliability.Prepares layouts, sketches and detail drawings as required.Participates in the follow-up during fabrication.Full development of new design concepts and modifications to existing designs.

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent 4-year degreeMUST HAVE ACTIVE DOE Q or DOD TS SECURITY CLEARANCEMinimum 5 years applicable experience
