The Measurement & Verification Engineer is responsible for conducting measurement and verification tasks in support of the Wind & Site department efforts. Responsibilities include setup and configuration of meteorology stations and measurement systems in support of general measurement campaigns and wind turbine power performance, noise and load verification tests.

 

 

This position performs field installation, setup, configuration and documentation of measurement systems under the direction and guidance of measurement and verification engineers.

 

 Maintain high level knowledge on setup and configuration of measurement systems and associated instrumentation.Assist with measurement campaigns conducted for performance evaluation, root cause analysis, and research and development.Maintain general knowledge on technical aspects of wind turbine design, performance and operation.

 

Interested candidates must meet the minimum qualifications:

 High School Diploma required.Associates or 2 year technical degree/certification preferred.Requires thorough technical background and knowledge regarding electrical/mechanical systems.Minimum 1 year experience with instrumentation and measurement systems, or similar electromechanical background.Requires demonstrated knowledge and skill in working with measurement equipment and data collection systems.50% travel required based on customer needs and overall company objectives.Ability to climb meteorology towers and wind turbines requiredWorking knowledge of data analysis software applications (Matlab) preferred.Work experience within the wind energy industry preferred.
