Master Black Belt

This position leads the implementation, measurement, training and continuous improvement of the organization's Operational Excellence strategy and programs to drive greater value for the enterprise. This individual will also be responsible for a team of Black Belts that will complete projects in all areas of the company. This is a transitional role with the opportunity to move into a line operating function with significant exposure and accountability in 24 to 36 months.

- Provides strategic direction and thought leadership for Operational Excellence.
- Works with business segments and functions on resource allocation on key issues which impact overall operational performance and on establishing and improving Operational Excellence programs.
- Lead and manage Six Sigma project portfolios in order to accomplish measurable business process improvements.
- Employs Six Sigma methodology and analytics into organizational operations in order to accomplish business objectives.
- Coach and mentor Project Champions, Black Belts, and Green Belts in the application of Lean Six Sigma to ensure teams are successful in meeting project goals.
- Lead and facilitate Kaizen events.
- Assist in the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of Black Belt, Green Belt, and LEAN courses.
- Lead the coordination and development of the corporate Operational Excellence deployment plan.
- Work with leadership in installing organizational supports for corporate Operational Excellence (reviews, communications, reward, software, etc.)
- Partner with senior management to develop, install and monitor business process management systems, including measurement tracking and reporting

QUALIFICATIONS: While the quality and accomplishments of a person's career will be the determining factor, the finalist must have the following requisite qualifications:

- Ability to motivate people across the organization through vision and leadership around operational principles
- Ability to communicate and build relationships effectively with diverse groups and senior leaders across the organization.
- Strong business process and process management skills.
- Excellent facilitation, presentation and mentoring skills. This individual is a master of basic and advanced quality tools and statistics.
- Ability to influence decision-making with rationally presented data.
- Ability to flexibly allocate resources to meet business needs.
- Provide effective leadership and role modeling the desired department and company standards.
- Ability to negotiate outcomes pertaining to operational and quality improvement issues with senior & executive management, internal operational representatives, legal counsel, regulatory agency representatives and customers as needed.

EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree in appropriate discipline. Master's degree in Business preferred. Six Sigma Black Belt certification required. Six Sigma Master Black Belt and Certifications in Lean highly preferred.
