With a recent $100 million investment in our company and having been awarded two of the world’s largest solar contract we are at the forefront of the renewable energy arena. Your manufacturing management expertise will be called upon as we will look to you to develop entirely new steel fabrication production lines for the dish, pedestal, boom and other support structures for our next-generation solar power conversion units (PCU). Your ability to our supply chain partners and serve as the conduit effectively manage continuous improvement initiatives between Stirling’s design team and our manufacturing vendors will be the key to your success. Based in our Phoenix, AZ headquarters and traveling approximately 25-30% of the time to our partner sites (primarily in North America) your main focus will be the implementation and flawless execution of new production lines for our PCU. Your previous experience developing and managing steel fabrication production lines for manufacturing in the construction, automotive, capital machinery or similar industry will be critical to your success. Your deep knowledge of hi-volume manufacturing will enable you to meet quality, on-time delivery and cost-reduction targets. Extensive knowledge with steel machining and a metrics / KPI driven management style will add to your candidacy (Six Sigma). As the key interface between the suppliers and our design team polished yet firm communication skills and the ability to build relationships will be essential in the management of your extended team and your role in the entire manufacturing management function.
