Manufacturing Manager – Solar Power Generation – Frames and Electro-Mechanical SystemsJob Id:SESI-MFGFA

With a recent $100 million investment in our company and having been awarded world’s largest solar contract we are at the forefront of the renewable energy arena. Your manufacturing management expertise will be called upon as we will look to you to design and establish an entirely new production line for the cooling systems, frames, covers, ceramics, mounts, sensors, wiring harnesses and controls for our next-generation solar power conversion units (PCU). Your ability to effectively manage our supply chain partners and serve as the conduit between Stirling’s design team and our manufacturing vendors will be the key to your success. This is an exciting time to join this white hot sector in the renewables industry and you will be challenged everyday as we embark on the implementation of our cutting-edge solar solution and create a greener future for generations to come.

Our headline-making technology holds the world's efficiency record for converting solar power to grid quality electricity. Stirling Energy Systems (SES) has been awarded the world's largest solar energy contracts with Southern California Edison and San Diego Gas & Electric to build up to 1,750 MW of solar projects in California. Recently named one of the Top 25 Breakout Companies by Fortune Magazine and ranked #1 in Fast Company's "Fast 50", SES offers strong growth potential in an entrepreneurial and progressive business environment with an emphasis on honesty, integrity and creative solutions. Join the Stirling Engine Team and bring your experience to the fast emerging solar energy industry.

Based in our Phoenix, AZ headquarters and traveling approximately 25-30% of the time to our partner sites (primarily in North America) your main focus will be the implementation and flawless execution of a new production line for our PCU. Your previous experience building a production line from scratch for manufacturing in the range of 20,000 units per year in the automotive, steel fabrication or similar industry will be critical to your success. Your strong negotiation skills will allow you to effectively manage our supply chain partners and ensure quality, on time delivery and cost down achievement. Extensive knowledge with electro-mechanical systems and a metrics / KPI driven management style will add to your candidacy (Six Sigma). As the key interface between the suppliers and our design team polished yet firm communication skills and the ability to build relationships will be tantamount to managing your extended team and the entire manufacturing management function. In exchange for your management prowess you will be rewarded with challenging and high-impact projects that will pioneer new generations of sustainable energy systems and help reduce humanity’s carbon footprint.
