Position Description:
The Utilities, Electrical Engineer will be responsible for all the site high, medium, and low voltage power distribution systems and electrical equipment on the campus. The position will be directly rersponsible for development of all Preventive / Predictive Maintenance programs for all electrical distribution systems/equipment on site. The candidate will work closely with the Director, Maintenance – Utilities while determining necessary training requirements / programs in order to effectively maintain this equipment, increase the system reliability and sustain a Class A quality environment. The candidate will review, participate on all project teams, while approving, and representing Site Services for all electrical infrastructure projects, or projects directly affecting the current infrastructure.• Excellent in depth technical equipment knowledge with high voltage electrical distribution.• In depth understanding of CGMP and CGLP compliance as it relates to maintenance / electrical engineering of vaccine manufacturing and laboratory equipment/systems.• Working ability to plan, lead and distribute assignments to enable work to be completed in the most efficient method possible and to monitor the work status assigned• Working ability and knowledge of communication and people skills.• Working ability to train others and recognize the need for training based on review of work done and reoccurring issues.• Working knowledge of a variety of pharmaceutical electrical / distribution equipment and the equipment manuals & drawings associated with them.• An in depth knowledge of the operations, services and other activities, of the maintenance department, utilities engineering for both internal and contracted employees. • Working knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook, ISO Train, and Trackwise.• Finally, a working understanding of FDA, DEP, OSHA, EPA, NEC, NFPA and other regulatory bodies and standards, whether local, state or Federal.• Self motivated, aggressive, leadership strength and responsibility, and• Ability to work under pressureWe are an equal opportunity employer M/F/D/V
Qualifications:
This position requires a bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering with 5-10 years experience with High, medium, low voltage distribution equipment. Must have demonstrated good leadership, electrical engineering and project planning qualities while leading others by example. Candidate must also have demonstrated the continued ability to complete all requested work within the required compliance and procedural guidelines and have the ability to integrate excellent engineering skills as required. Prior Pharmaceutical experience is preferred
