Nearly 50 percent of the nuclear power plants in operation worldwide, and nearly 60 percent in the United States, are based on Westinghouse technology.The Repair Replacement and Automation Services organization of Westinghouse Electric Company is looking for a Product Manager to support the Operator Interface and BWR I&C Engineering organization. The Simulator Engineering I group provides nuclear training simulator products and services to the nuclear industry. Simulator Engineering I is also the lead technical group for the design and implementation of the Simulator Systems product line and the full scope AP1000 Training Simulator. The latest simulator software and techniques are employed to support nuclear plant training simulator systems for all reactor types supported by Westinghouse including PWRs, BWRs and the PBMR.In this position, a candidate can expect to perform the following duties:- Prepare and implement marketing capture plans.- Present product and service capabilities to customers.- Develop innovative products and services and standardization of the product line.- Manage large, complex technical projects.- Capture and maintain market share in a competitive environment. - Deliver projects in the $1M-20M range with an emphasis on safety, quality, cost and schedule.The successful candidate will have the following:- 10+ years of experience in business development and project management. - MBA, Project Management Certification or nuclear industry experience a plus. - Demonstrated ability to capture and maintain market share in a competitive environment. - Demonstrated ability to manage large, complex technical projects.- Demonstrated successful delivery of projects in the $5M-10M range with emphasis on safety, quality, cost and schedule.- Demonstrated leadership skills in forming high performance teams and directing them to achieve assigned goals and objectives.- Demonstrated ability to concisely and accurately communicate with internal and external customers and building strong relationships.- Demonstrated ability to identify issues, assess alternatives and implement solutions.- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple internal organizations in the successful delivery of projects.Technical Skills:- Experience with risk management tools and processes.- Experience with human performance tools.- SAP experience.- Microsoft Project or Primavera experience.- Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint experience.
