It all starts here, with you.The Manager-Credit Risk Management provides direct supervision to employees of the credit group within Enterprise Risk Management. The incumbent in this role is responsible for managing a portfolio of counterparty relations, ensuring the credit risk policy is adhered to and credit losses are minimized.The position will: - Manage daily activities of credit departments and oversee assessment process to ensure timely review of all counterparties and requests- Assist Director, Credit Risk Management in development and implementation of corporate credit policy and procedures for new/existing business lines- Model current and potential liquidity and credit risk- Develop and enhance credit valuation models, reserve methodologies, and counterparty creditworthiness models- Calculate liquidity and credit exposure relating to rating agency requests and reporting requirements- Communicate with the IT department in development and evaluation of new credit related risk management systems and applications- Perform corporate level analysis of credit exposure reports, credit risk concentrations, and Credit VAR analysis to ensure compliance with Enterprise Risk Management Policy- Prepare limit violation reports and recommend appropriate actions to secure exposure- Perform in-depth analysis of counterparties and recommend appropriate credit limits- Assist in the interpretation of structured transactions and quantify/price the credit risk associated with the deal- Obtain open lines of credit from counterparties and respond to counterparty requests- Negotiate credit provisions in transaction contracts, netting agreements and other energy related agreements- Oversee the negotiation of parent guarantees, letters of credit and other credit enhancements for all business linesQualificationsThe successful candidate has:- 5-7 years of credit risk management experience (an emphasis in the energy industry preferred) - Knowledge of energy risk management, analytical tools and techniques - Experience with financial statement analysis, extension of credit lines- Strong analytical skills and the ability to apply advanced financial analysis - Understanding of physical and financial commodity markets- Expertise with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft applications
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics; Preferred: Bachelors or Masters in Economics or FinanceOther disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.
