Lead Field Module Design Engineer
This is an expat position.Westinghouse Electric Company, located in Sanmen, China is seeking a Lead Field Module Engineer in its Nuclear Power Plants department. This position is in the Site Project Management Organization(SPMO) and will have a reporting relationship to the customer for their day to day activities. In this position, a Lead Module Engineer can expect to: - Lead the site module delivery project team responsible for procurement, fabrication, delivery and installation of modules for an AP1000 Plant in China (Sanmen Site)-Work with local contractor; individual will coordinate, answer or resolve technical issues related to the fabrication of modules.-Provide design guidance via formal channels back to Westinghouse. -Individual will assist site contractor with assembly plans and procedures and provide or obtain formal guidance when needed. **This is a highly interactive job, requiring excellent communication skills and a broad range of technical knowledge related to civil and mechanical construction.***,/b>A successful candidate would be familiar with and/or have experience with the following:- Engineering degree or equivalent combination of related experience and technical education.- 4-10 years relevant experience, preferably in the nuclear industry. 10-15 years without engineering degree.-Ability to interpret specifications and drawings.-Ability to apply practical hands-on engineering skills. -Experience with welding, civil construction, fabrication and applicable codes and standards.-Experience with modular construction techniques desired (equipment or structural).-Nuclear construction experience desired.- Analytical and problem-solving skills.- Ability to work in a team atmosphere with external customers and team members from other organizations.-Strong communication skills with ability to explain and discuss difficult information.
